WOW: 365 Challenge Day 19

Scripture:  Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Devotion:  Anything new carries excitement and expectation. When a couple discovers they are having a baby there is a sense of joy that resounds throughout their tribe. Parents, aunt, uncles, and friends alike celebrate the new arrival. It is not until the child arrives several months later the parents begin to see new demands.

These demands show up daily teaching new lessons while expanding and birthing a new level of understanding and maturity within the parents. New things bring about great excitement but also require great work.

Today, has God thrust you into your new beginning? Are you feeling the pressures of not knowing and beginning again from what appears to be a less advantaged place? Be encouraged,  keep your hand to the plow. Before you know it, what was once foreign to you will become second nature. You will not end in the manner in which you began. Time, effort, and consistency changes everything!

Reflection:  Evaluate the areas in your life where you have been called to be a freshman again. These are the areas where you are being expanded and called to a new level. Over time, the student will become the master.

Prayer:  Lord prepare us for every new area of expansion required of us this year. May we move forward with tenacity knowing if you’ve given us new opportunities that there is a grace to accomplish them.
