Scripture: A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
A man has joy by the answer of his mouth. This passage of scripture give us the understanding that our words have something to do with our joy. Proverbs 18:21 tells us “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” This scripture clearly gives the power of spoken words to us. So my question is, what are you saying? Are your words full of life and producing the fruit of joy or are they full of death and producing its fruit?
Reflection: Today take watch of your words and see where you stand! Is positivity exuding from your being or are you in a rut of disappointment that leads to negativity?
Prayer: Lord, guard our tongue and make us aware of where our words produce death. In all things teach us to speak life that produces the harvest of joy.
