Forgetting those things which are behind…

This morning I awakened from a dream. In the dream there were groups of people from my past who showed up unexpectedly for a visit. I let them in and offered them a seat at my table. I then began to take care of some things in the house. Time seemed to pass and suddenly I knew it was time to clean up the mess the company had made. I immediately began to gather the trash, inform my sister to do the same, and let nothing stand in the way. I had a sense that it was time to move on to something different.

As I pondered on the dream I could see clearly the message. There was a place and time for certain people to sit at my table. A table is where you break bread and share life together. I knew the season for those I once shared with was over. It was now time to clean up the mess that was left behind. The mess was just that, mess. Building relationships and being the one to share and offer your self to others can sometimes be messy and carries it’s own set of highs and lows. The message was clear, clean up and move forward.

I can see these next few months are pivotal for us to release and cleanse ourselves from the people and places in which we once broke bread. In some places we were the guest and in others we opened our home and lives to others. It is clear that 2022 and beyond will be years of epic breakthrough but we must first yield to the work and allow the Holy Spirit to wash away the old.

Spend some time over the next few months fasting, praying and reflecting on all that has transpired in your life. Allow the Lord to touch the lingering, hidden pain and to demonstrate that which he turned for good! Take time to process the good, the bad, and the ugly. Leave no stone unturned for it will enable us to posses and walk in our God given identity in the days to come. Prep yourself for breakthrough!
